“ With the projects in the Industrial Heartland, just a few miles south of Town, I am looking forward to working with this Council to find ways that we can take advantage of those projects. Be it getting workers to move to Redwater or to help motivate businesses to locate here. All the while trying to improve the quality of life for our residents. The hardest challenge will be trying lobby the Provincial and Federal governments for the funding that is required to achieve some of these goals and projects.”

Dwayne Spicer
Dwayne’s parents moved to Redwater in 1979 and except for a few years as a young adult pursuing education and work elsewhere, Dwayne has been a resident of Redwater since that time.
He and his wife, Liesel, settled here to raise their family. They purchased a local business in 1995 with the idea that it was a place where they could connect with many in the community. Over the years, Dwayne has coached community and school teams of soccer, basketball and volleyball. He has refereed soccer, along with mentoring youth in refereeing and coaching skills. For over 20 years, Dwayne ran a local youth group that met weekly, and would end the year with a week-long camping trip in the mountains. He continues to employ many youth in their first jobs at his business. Dwayne likes to stay active with mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, camping and playing sports. He and Liesel continue to play volleyball with Redwater’s recreational co-ed volleyball league.
Dwayne desires Redwater to continue to have its small-town feel while still growing and prospering, and to be a community where everybody knows and takes care of each other as neighbors.

Tina Cosby
I have lived in Redwater 30 plus years, attended elementary to senior high school, raised my children here. Was employed with the Town of Redwater for eleven years, starting my career path with community services, to receptionist, payroll, utilities etc. Currently, and for the past thirteen years I am employed with another municipality as a Senior Planning and Development Officer. During these times I have also received several certificates through the University of Alberta, one of which is the completion of Occupational Health and Safety certification.
I have sat on several boards and volunteered for various venues, for 2 ½ of those years I volunteered as a fire fighter/emergency medical responder on the Redwater Fire Department.
Personally, I feel Redwater is a great community and by working together to build on that we can see positive changes moving forward in the future.
